What Einstein Had to Remember

When Albert Einstein was teaching at Princeton, he filled the blackboard with complicated equations. At the end of the period he left instructions for the cleaning woman on the board. Across everything he wrote word: "Erase." But in one corner, above the simple equation 2+2=4, he put: "Do not erase!"

Though we delve into complexities and mysteries, we must never lose sight of simple, foundational truths.
